Rite Aids to close temporarily to convert to Walgreens; Pharmacies will remain open
As the Tri-Lakes’ Rite Aid stores make the switch over to Walgreens, each location will close for about a week to make the conversion.
In Saranac Lake, the store will be closed starting Aug. 4 and re-open on Aug. 9.
In Tupper Lake, the store will be closed starting Aug. 8 and re-open on Aug. 16.
In Lake Placid, the store will be closed starting July 28 and re-open on Aug. 3.
The pharmacy for each location will remain open during the closure with the Tupper Lake and Lake Placid stores offering drive-through-only services and the Saranac Lake store offering assistance to the pharmacy at its main entrance.
Several items in the stores were priced upwards of 70% off this week as they prepare for the switch.
