Erika Bezio, the Saranac Lake Central School District’s Community School liaison, receives a $5,000 donation for the 3rd Meal and Ready for School programs from Vance Mortensen, representing the Ecumenical Council of Saranac Lake, in July 2019. These two programs provide an after-school meal for students participating in extended-day school activities, plus school supplies needed specifically for each grade level. Mortensen said an anonymous donation to the council made the Ecumenical Children’s Fund possible.
