SARANAC LAKE — Traffic slowed to a crawl just outside Prescott Park Monday afternoon as part of a lane of River Street (state Route 86) was cordoned off following a motorcycle crash.

Village police responded to the incident at 1:20 p.m. They said Johnnie Krezinski, 51, of Middlesex, Vermont, was driving eastward down River Street on a 2011 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he noticed a stopped motorcycle in front of him. He didn’t have enough time to stop without hitting the other motorcycle, so he laid his motorcycle down on his right. Police said he suffered mild, non-life-threatening injuries — right hip pain and scrapes to his right hand, right arm and right leg — and was brought to Adirondack Medical Center by the Saranac Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad.

The Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department and police department directed traffic while the situation was handled.
