Treasurer to challenge Little
PLATTSBURGH — Clinton County Treasurer Kimberly Davis will be running for state Senate next year.
Davis, 44, confirmed that she is planning on running in 2020, but deferred all questions to her kickoff event scheduled for Tuesday, June 11.
“Yes I am running, and look forward to answering all questions on June 11,” she said.
A Democrat, Davis has served as treasurer since Jan. 1, 2014.
The Senate seat is held by Republican Betty Little of Queensbury in Warren County. Little has held the seat since 2003.
She has enjoyed being in the Senate majority for most of her time as senator, but this year, Republicans fell out of the majority.
