Stefanik votes to meet Paris climate obligations

U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-Schuylerville, voted in four roll call votes this past week, including breaking from most of her Republican colleagues to support H.R. 9, the Climate Action Now Act.

The act directs the president to develop a plan to meet the United States’ obligations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions under the Paris Climate Agreement.

Stefanik was joined by two Republican colleagues, Reps. Vern Buchanan and Brian Fitzpatrick.

Because names are recorded only in roll calls, the following list does not include any bills that were passed in other kinds of votes, such as voice votes.

Stefanik voted to suspend the rules and pass the Columbia River In-Lieu and Treaty Fishing Access Sites Improvement Act. It passed, 396-18.

She voted to suspend the rules and pass the National Senior Investor Initiative Act. It passed, 392-20.
