LAKE PLACID — For anyone who wants to get their kids out in the mountains this summer, the Lake Placid Outing Club invites you to an informational meeting Wednesday, May 1 at the Lake Placid Elementary School.

The meeting will kick off with free pizza at 5:30 p.m. and a dinner meeting at 6 p.m.

Whether the children are new to hiking or working on becoming 46ers, the club has trips for hiking, padding, mountain biking and camping. Most trips are free.
