Informational meeting for YMCA children’s programs
SARANAC LAKE – Representatives from Plattsburgh/Malone YMCA will be at Petrova Elementary School from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 to answer questions about their upcoming enrichment program for children in grades K-5.
“The Plattsburgh/Malone Y is excited to share this wonderful opportunity with the children and families of Saranac Lake School District,” said Michelle Schumacher, Malone YMCA branch executive director.
Beginning April 30, the Y will offer one hour of STEM/STEAM afterschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children from Bloomindale will be bussed to Petrova Elementary. All children will be offered a healthy snack, provided by Saranac Lake School District. At the end of the program children can be picked up or bussed home.
The Y will also offer 1/2 day activities for children in grades K-5 on the final three days of school.
Starting in September, the Y will offer Y’s Time Before/Afterschool Enrichment. This program will mirror the programs offered in Malone, Plattsburgh, Peru and Beakmantown. Daily schedules include physical activity, healthy snack, homework help, STEM/STEAM and creative play.
To learn more or to register, stop by April 24 or call the Y at 518-483-2354.
