Man killed in snowmobile crash on Adirondack lake
WEBB (AP) — A 59-year-old man has died in a snowmobile crash in the Adirondacks.
New York State Police say Michael Gosson of Rome was operating his snowmobile on Woodhull Lake in Webb on Sunday morning when he struck a rock sticking out of the ice.
The snowmobile became airborne, and Gosson was ejected.
Police say Gosson was discovered by members of his snowmobiling party, who called 911.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
