Child porn charges added for Tupper man

Facteau
TUPPER LAKE — State police charged a Tupper Lake man with eight counts of child pornography on Friday, adding to the child sex charges he was arrested for earlier in March.
William Facteau, 28, was charged with four counts of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child and four counts of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, both felonies, at 13 Main St. in Tupper Lake at 1:40 p.m. Friday.
On March 4, a state police investigation revealed Facteau allegedly had sexual contact with a 4-year-old child in June 2018 and that the act had been originally reported on July 16. He was charged with first-degree criminal sexual act and first-degree sexual abuse, both felonies, as well as endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
At that time, Facteau was released on $5,000 cash bail.
On Monday, State Police said Facteau was held in custody; no bail dollar amount was listed in State Police’s blotter.
