Athletic Director Randy Sieminski says Charles Murray III will lead the Kangaroos esports program. He comes to Canton from the Ellenville School District where he served as an esports coach at Ulster BOCES and taught in the district media center.

Murray is a grandmaster ranked “Overwatch” player.

This fall, SUNY Canton esports captured Eastern College Athletic Conference championships in both “Overwatch” and “FIFA.” The program also has teams competing in “League of Legends,” ”Fortnite” and “Hearthstone.”

The college’s new Esports Arena has 25 high-end Alienware computers, Xbox One X units, Sony PlayStation Pro consoles and Nintendo Switches.
