Sparks honored for 20 years of service

TUPPER LAKE — Tracy Sparks, the Franklin County Republican election commissioner, was honored Monday for 20 years of work with the county by Franklin County Legislator Paul Maroun. Sparks, who started in the Department of Social Services in Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake, said when she was asked if she would like to take up the commissioner position in 2015 she was looking for something less stressful. So she started organizing elections.
