Rangers rescue two men after emergency beacon activated

ST. HUBERTS — State Department of Environmental Conservation forest rangers rescued two men who activated an emergency beacon late on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

The two Kingston men, aged 41 and 44, requested assistance to find the trail between Upper AuSable Lake and Lower AuSable Lake at 9:24 p.m.

Rangers responded with snowmobiles and gained access to the Adirondack Mountain Reserve property and located the men at about 11:30 that night. The men were transported back to the AMR gate with no injuries.
