Prehistoric mask-making workshop

SARANAC LAKE – At this time of year, the creative team at BluSeed Studios is also busily preparing for Saranac Lake’s annual Winter Carnival whose theme this year is-prehistoric.

BluSeed Studios will be hosting two, independent, Pre-Historic Mask-Making workshops — Saturday, Jan. 19 and Saturday, Jan. 26 — in preparation for an exhibit/ party in the gallery space on Thursday, Jan. 31.

Artistic Director Carol Marie Vossler invites the public to “Get their prehistoric on!”

All ages are welcome to participate in the workshops; however, children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants in the workshop should register in advance by calling 518-891-3799. Workshops run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on each of the respective Saturdays.

The workshop fee is $25 per person/per workshop.

Thursday, Jan. 31, there will be a pre-historic party at Blu Seed Studios prior to the evening’s Open Minded-Mic night to exhibit the mask creations. Then folks can wear them in the Winter Carnival Parade.
