SARANAC LAKE — The Lake Flower boat launch parking lot next to the Ice Palace will be reserved for handicap parking only on Saturdays and Sundays during Winter Carnival: Feb. 2, 3, 9 and 10, the Winter Carnival Committee announced Friday.

To compensate, on these weekends more parking will be available at North Country Community College on Santanoni Avenue and Saranac Lake Middle School on Petrova Avenue.

In addition, the Carnival Committee said it has increased free shuttles to the Ice Palace to pick up and drop off about every 15 minutes.

The Carnival Committee encourages people to plan ahead so they know where to park. The committee offers a map that details all available parking lots and the shuttle schedule on its website at www.saranaclakewintercarnival.com/visit/venues-parking-and-restaurants.

Winter Carnival will take place Feb. 1 to 10.
