8-18 inches of snow forecasted for this weekend

The National Weather Service put a winter storm warning in effect for the North Country and all of Vermont from 4 p.m Saturday to 4 p.m. Sunday.

There is expected to be heavy snow with a total accumulation of 8 to 18 inches.

Travel could be difficult to impossible during the storm, and areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The NWS recommends not traveling, but if you have to, keep a flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of emergency.
