SARANAC LAKE — At approximately 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, there was a two-car collision on State Route 86 near the intersection with Ray Brook Road.

According to Trooper Moody of the state police, George Hendrickson of Saranac Lake was heading south on state Route 86 in a silver-gray Chevy Tracker when he attempted to make a U-turn back toward Saranac Lake and collided with a black Kia driven by Elliot Brouseau-Griffin, also of Saranac Lake.

Brouseau-Griffin was transported to the hospital via ambulance. Hendrickson was treated at the scene by Saranac Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad and will be ticketed for causing the accident. Neither car had passengers.
