LaLa’s opening Saturday in Tupper Lake

TUPPER LAKE – LaLa’s Mexican restaurant will open its doors to customers at 4 p.m. Saturday.

The brewpub at 12 Cliff Ave. is affiliated with Big Tupper Brewing and will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The full seven-barrel brewing system on the site won’t fully open until this fall, but customers will still be able to order a pint of one of the local microbrewery’s four tap beers with their LaLa’s meal.

Big Tupper Brewing and LaLa’s is co-owned by Tupper Lakers Jim LaValley and Janelle LaVinge. Once the brewery begins operating in the third of the facility dedicated for brewing this fall, LaValley said, their types of beer will more than triple. For now, their Summer Ale, IPA ‘Eh” Ale, Green Tea Trail Ale and TOUK Winter Ale are on tap.

The opening also serves as a kickoff for the Mac’s Safe Ride golf tournament fundraiser, which will be held Sunday at the Tupper?Lake Country Club, beginning at 11 a.m. A portion of Saturday’s proceeds for a featured drink called the “Mac-A-Rita” will benefit the service.
