Southbound Northway lanes reopened after crash
CHESTER (AP) – State police say the southbound lanes of Interstate 87 in the Adirondacks have reopened after being closed by a truck crash for more than four hours.
A dispatcher says a truck crashed off the highway, also known as the Adirondack Northway, around 12:30 p.m. Monday in the Warren County town of Chester, 95 miles north of Albany.
I-87’s southbound lanes were closed from Exit 25 at Chestertown to Exit 23 at Warrensburg until shortly before 5 p.m.
The condition of the truck driver wasn’t available.
The Northway is the main interstate highway linking Montreal to Albany and points south.
