WILLSBORO — Champlain National Bank employees and customers are helping make the holidays a little brighter for families in Essex, Clinton and Franklin counties.

The Project We Care program partners with local agencies to help them collect toys, food and other items, which are provided to local people in need.

In Lake Placid and Saranac Lake, bank employees are collecting toys for Families First to distribute. Tags listing a local child’s Christmas gift wish will be located in those two branches. Return the unwrapped gift to either Lake Placid or Saranac Lake by Friday, Dec. 11. For more details, call 518-523-7070 or 518-304-5200.

The Keene branch is collecting warm clothing for local children and senior citizens in need, working with local churches and the Keene Valley Neighborhood House. To help, call 518-576-9515 or stop by the drive-through to receive an angel or mitten tag, which will detail the clothing item requested and the person’s size. Gifts need to be returned to the branch by Friday, Dec. 18 and can be either wrapped or unwrapped with the tag attached.
