Saranac Lake Elks give funds to hospital foundation, YoungLife

SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Elks Lodge BPOE No. 1508 presented two local organizations with their 2020 Gratitude Grant for their generous work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Elk Darlene Nye presented a $1,250 check to Bob Laba, chief financial officer, and Lisa Keegan, COVID Clinic nurse, for the Adirondack Health Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund. Among other things, the fund helps provide free COVID-19 testing for area residents.

Elk Lisa Tubridy presented Brad Varner, YoungLife area director, and Bill Gilbert, area YoungLife committee chair, a $1,250 check to support their creative work in continuing to involved in local teens lives despite the shutdown of many of their routine activities.
