Multiple Tri-Lakes sports hit with delay

For the third Monday in a row, area spring sports contests have been hit with a postponement because of the weather.

The Saranac Lake varsity baseball game against Northern Adirondack, which was originally scheduled for Monday at home was postponed. The JV baseball game against AuSable Valley was also postponed, with both dates yet to be determined.

All three Red Storm softball teams had their contests on Monday postponed. The varsity and JV teams were slated to take on AuSable Valley at home, while the modified team was scheduled to take on Plattsburgh.

The Lake Placid baseball and softball team’s road games against Crown Point were postponed, while the Blue Bombers tennis team’s road match against Seton Catholic was also moved back to a later date.

The Tupper Lake baseball and softball games against Brushton-Moira will also be rescheduled.

Monday’s home golf matches for the Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake golf teams were not postponed. The Saranac Lake Placid lacrosse team also continued on with its home game on Monday against Canton.
