High school sports rained outs

For the third time this week, local high school sports have been hit with a delay because of the weather.

The Lake Placid golf team’s home and season opener against Ticonderoga was postponed. The match will now take place today at 3:30 p.m.

The Blue Bombers varsity baseball and softball games at Boquet Valley were also rescheduled to today, with a 4:30 p.m. start time. The Lake Placid modified baseball and softball team’s home contests are expected to be rescheduled.

Home matches for the Lake Placid tennis teams against Peru have been postponed to May 17 at 3:30 p.m.

The Saranac Lake varsity baseball team’s road game against Northern Adirondack is slated to be rescheduled, while the JV baseball game was canceled.

The Red Storm golf team’s away match against Saranac Central at the Barrack’s Golf Course in Plattsburgh was rescheduled to May 15 and the Saranac Lake modified softball game against Saranac Central was postponed to May 11.

The Tupper Lake varsity baseball and softball team’s contests against Madrid-Waddington at the LP Quinn fields will now take place on Saturday. Both games will take place at 1:30 p.m.

Home competitions for the Saranac Lake girls flag football team and the Lumberjacks golf teams were not postponed and away competitions for the Red Storm’s unified basketball and modified lacrosse teams took place on Wednesday.
