SARANAC LAKE — Despite the zero-degree temperature, the NBT Bank Ice Palace Fun Run had a good turnout last weekend.

The four-mile-long fun run saw participants take on a hilly course through the neighborhoods of Saranac Lake.

The first person to cross the finish line was Adam Parker. Parker came blazing by in a time of 26 minutes and 57 seconds.

A little over 10 seconds later, Aiden Hesseltine came across the finish line at 27:09. Ben Kuhlmann earned third place at 30:16.

On the women’s side, Felicia Spence was the winner, finishing the race at 37:23.

Over a minute later, Jami Clark took second place at 38:45. The final finisher to round out the top three was Janine Hrizdos, who crossed the line at 39:00.

Race organizer Dave Staszak thanked NBT Bank for sponsoring the Fun Run and members of CanAm Rugby, who stepped forward at the last minute to assist him.
