LAKE PLACID — Adnan Cecunjanin came up with late-game heroics for the Lake Placid boys basketball team Thursday when he sank a buzzer-beating three-point shot to lift the Blue Bombers to a 48-45 victory at home over Wells.

The win was Lake Placid’s first of the season, and Cecunjanin got the Blue Bombers going on his only other basket, another three-pointer to open the scoring.

The Blue Bombers held the advantage for most of the contest. They took a 30-20 edge into intermission and carried a 41-30 lead into the final period before Wells stormed back in the fourth.

Matt Brandes paced Lake Placid with 18 points, and Nick Marvin added 13 in the win.

Jack Armstrong added six points in the win, and Zach Gavin and chipped in five to round on Lake Placid’s scoring.

Byron Stuart was the lone double-digit scoring for Wells with a game-high 22 points.
