SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Fun Run season continued Thursday at Riverside Park.

The night started with the quarter-mile race, followed by the half-mile and 1-mile events. All finishers received a popsicle for their efforts.

Following the kids’ races, runners took on 2-, 3- or 4.5-mile distances.

The Thursday Night Fun Run series will continue every Thursday through Aug. 29. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m., followed by the runs at 6 p.m. sharp. The adult runs range between 2 and 5 miles and are held on different courses in the village each week.

The Fun Runs are organized by volunteers and sponsored by the village of Saranac Lake and the Kiwanis Club of Saranac Lake. There is no fee to participate in the fun runs. For more information, contact Andy Pickreign at capp_andy@yahoo.com or 518-524-3557.
