The New York Ski Educational Foundation under-16 athletes had a busy weekend last week during the state championships at Gore and West Mountain. The championships pitted NYSEF skiers against the best in New York, with a chance to qualify for the U-16 Easterns (which take place in Sugarloaf, Maine) and the Finals (Gore).

NYSEF qualified more than 25 athletes (boys and girls combined) for the March races.

Madison Kostoss, of Lake Placid, was crowned as the U-16 overall female champion last week.
