SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Fun Run Series reached week 4 last Thursday.

The kids kicked things off with 36 runners covering the quarter-mile course. Half-milers and milers were next, followed by the adult races ranging between 2 and 4.5 miles.

The Fun Runs continue every Thursday through Aug. 14. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m., followed by the kids’ races at 6 p.m. The free event offers distances of a quarter-mile, half-mile, 1 mile, 2 miles and 4 miles.

The series is organized by volunteers and sponsored by the village of Saranac Lake and the Kiwanis Club of Saranac Lake.
