Chiefs pull away from Storm for hoops win

SARANAC — The Saranac Lake boys basketball team got off to a slow start Thursday night and Saranac pulled away in the second half for a 57-43 Champlain Valley Athletic Conference victory.

The Chiefs outscored Saranac Lake 38-27 in the second half to wrap up the win.

Sean Lincoln led the Red Storm offensively with 13 points, followed by teammates Jarrett Ashton and Joe Viscardo with eight points apiece.

Nick Mather collected 20 points and 10 rebounds to pace Saranac.

St. Regis Falls 75, Tupper Lake 33

ST. REGIS FALLS — The St. Regis Falls boys basketball team was too much for Tupper Lake on Thursday in a 75-33 Northern Athletic Conference East Division victory.

Kameron Sarvis led the way for the Lumberjacks, who fell to 2-10 overall and 2-6 in conference games.

Trystin Hartson paced St. Regis Falls with 19 points, while teammate Sage Allen hit for 17. The Saints are 10-2 overall and 7-1 in league games.
