Tupper falls at home to Larries
TUPPER LAKE – Tupper Lake girls soccer held its first home game on Saturday, and fell to St. Lawrence 2-1.
Tupper Lake’s Shawna Vallaincourt scored on an assist from Sophia Martin with eight minutes left in the first half to tie up the score at one apiece.
St. Lawrence put the winning goal in net at the 24-minute mark in the second half.
Casey O’Connor had 15 saves in goal for the Lumberjacks.
“The entire team played their hearts out and fought until the last minute,” Tupper Lake coach Brooke Boudreau said “Our main focus has been to improve our offense and we had many more shots on net this game than any of our past games.”
