Helen ‘Skipper’ Reandeau

Helen "Skipper" Reandeau, 83, of Tupper Lake went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013.

Born on Dec. 7, 1930, in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of Eugene and Stella (Perry) LaFountain. She attended Holy Ghost Academy and was employed at the O.W.D. Corp. and Whitney Park Industries.

She also cared for many folks through North Country Home Services. She married Armand Reandeau on June 10, 1950, at Holy Name Church in Faust. Skipper truly enjoyed her children and especially her grandchildren. She loved working in her flower garden and shopping was her passion.

She is survived by four children: Chris and his wife Diane, Bonnie McFadyen and her husband Alan, all of Tupper Lake, Karen King and her husband Bernie of Clayton, N.C. and Tammy Reandeau Trombley of Clayton, N.C.; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and her sisters Pearl Arnold and Arila "Elsie" Moran.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, a daughter Jeannie Beaudette, brothers, Frances, Norman, Harold and Roy LaFountain and a sister Threasa Bushey.

She will be greatly missed by everyone including a huge family of nieces and nephews. Calling hours are scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 26 with a funeral service at noon at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus cemetery in May.
