To the editor:
The blue balloons were up indicating the height of the proposed hotel on Lake Flower, and the hotel will be too high! It will block people's view of the lake and will be a towering structure where there shouldn't be one. To put a four-story building on the shore of the lake is foolhardy. It would be like putting the hospital on the shore of Lake Colby instead of set back where it is.
I was as excited as everyone else in hearing of the plan for the hotel, but the more that's revealed, the less I like it. Just the crazy plan to have hotel patrons park across River Street is enough to put the kibosh on the idea. Have you ever tried to cross the street there?
