November 7, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

SARANAC LAKE - Several local authors, photographers and artists who contributed to the recently published twin anthologies Adirondack Reflections and North Country Reflections will attend a reading & book reception at Saranac Village at Will Rogers on Saturday, November 9th at 7:30 p.m.

The two books, edited by Maurice Kenny of Saranac Lake and Neal Burdick of Canton, were published in June by The History Press of Charleston, SC. They feature the writing, photography and art of nearly 50 contributors, all of who are or have been residents of the North Country & Adirondack Regions. Topics range from moonlight skiing to Amish gardening and from mom-and-pop diners to stacking wood.

Burdick and Kenny will speak briefly about the books and read short excerpts of their own contributions. Other writers who will participate include Tim Fortune, John Radigan, Phil Gallos and Ed Kanze all from the Saranac Lake area. Saranac Lake area artists whose art work is featured in the books include Tim Fortune, Debbie Kanze, Mark Kurtz and Barry Lobdell. All of the contributors in attendance will gladly autograph copies of the books.

This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available. The books will be available for purchase, at $20 each, which includes sales tax.

For more information, call Debbie Kanze at 518-891-7117.
