Food pantry needs donations

September 5, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

To the editor:

I am writing in support of the Saranac Lake Interfaith Food Pantry, which serves more than 70 local families a month. As jobs in our community become fewer and fewer, and the price of gas and food goes higher and higher, the need of many families to keep themselves fed becomes a constant, everyday challenge.

The shelves at the Saranac Lake food pantry are very, very low this fall and in desperate need of resupply. Please help by making donations of nonperishable foods in the boxes in our local grocery stores and in the local churches. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.

For those in need, the Saranac Lake food pantry is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon and is located across from Stewart's on Bloomingdale Avenue.

Sincerely,

Carmen Ordonez

Saranac Lake
