The Associated Press

ALBANY (AP) - New York officials have scheduled the public auction of a former prison camp in the northeastern Adirondacks, asking a minimum of $140,000 for its 27 acres and 23 buildings.

The Office of General Services says Lyon Mountain correctional facility in Clinton County will be auctioned on July 10 following an open house this Tuesday.

The minimum-security prison closed in 2010.

The OGS says it received a winning bid this week of $241,000 at auction for Camp Georgetown with 31 rural acres includes 38 buildings in central New York.
