February 28, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

PAUL SMITHS - The Paul Smith's College VIC will be hosting a skiing and dance party, the "Bunny Boot Ball," on Saturday, featuring the Long Lake-based Fat River Kings band.

The Fat River Kings are a genre-hopping American roots band specializing in unique arrangements and tight harmonies. They'll be playing inside the VIC in the big open room, where there's plenty of room for dancing.

Based in Long Lake, the Fat River Kings travel throughout the Adirondack region spreading musical cheer. Steve Signell and Jason Hall trade lead vocals on originals and covers drawn from a wide range of musical styles including rock, country, folk, celtic, bluegrass, blues, reggae and the occasional sea shanty.

In addition to the music, there will be food served by Paul Smith's College culinary students. There will also be a silent auction for art works provided by local artists.

Outside the VIC in the back, there will be a bon fire and horse draw sleigh rides on the trails through the forest. The trails will also be lit up for cross-country skiers.

The event runs from 7 to 10 p.m. The cost is $15 per person and $25 per couples. Season pass holders pay $5.
