HORICON (AP) - A 60-year-old man faces drunken driving charges after his car fell through the ice on a southeastern Adirondack lake.

State police say Stuart Mead of the Warren County town of Horicon drove his 2006 Kia Sedona onto Brant Lake on Friday and fell through. He was able to get out and walk to shore, where he was met by troopers.

Authorities say Mead refused to take a breath test. He was arraigned in town court on misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated and reckless driving and released on bail pending a court appearance on Feb. 14.

The car was hauled out of the lake on Saturday.
