Schools have Regional Staff Development Day on Oct. 19

MALONE - The Franklin-Essex-Hamilton Board of Cooperative Educational Services is set to hold a Regional Staff Development Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19.

Educators from area school districts will provide professional development opportunities connected to the state's Common Core state standards.

The following districts are participating this year: Chateaugay, Malone, Salmon River, Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake.

Regional Staff Development Day offers over 30 professional development sessions within 13 locations throughout the Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES area, including Common Core unit planning, exploring climate change and green technology, incorporating technology and engineers into S.T.E.M. courses, and visual thinking strategies.
