To the editor:
I would like to publicly acknowledge two recent occasions on which Sewa Arora, owner-operator of the Hotel Saranac, has extended support to community activities by making parking at the hotel available to individuals attending those events who were not guests of the hotel. On Sept. 19 and 20, St. Joseph's Addiction Treatment and Recovery Centers hosted a training on "Trauma Informed Care - Creating an Awareness Perspective," by addiction experts Henry Kurcman and Howard Halligan, for its staff and open to other addiction professionals in the community, without charge, at the Saranac Lake Free Library. On that occasion, and again on Sept. 24, when Homeward Bound Adirondacks held a meeting of its Community Advisory Committee at the library, Mr. Arora extended access to the hotel parking lot, without charge, facilitating parking closer to the library.
Both St. Joseph's and Homeward Bound Adirondacks appreciate the spirit of community support evidenced by Mr. Arora in contributing to making the arrangements for both of these events easier for the host agencies and more convenient for participants.
