To the editor:

I titled this letter “SAD SAD” because I think the world we live in is in a SAD SAD State. Turn on your television or radio, or even pick up the newspaper, and all you see is violence, disruption, hatred, etc. You all know what I mean — you see it from the top people, groups, etc, all the way down through, I’m sure — SAD SAD.

I have never witter a letter to the editor in my life, and you will read that I will never single out one individual or person, since this would be wrong and very unprofessional. So please read on to see if any of you believe what I believe and see in today’s times.

So look at our schools, churches, our streets, even in our homes, you see shootings, violence for not liking someone, not agreeing with them, or their beliefs — SAD SAD. Maybe it’s in the way we are bringing up our children and/or young adults, I don’t know. Or, is it from what they hear, read or see from the above-mentioned television, radio or newspapers, thus, maybe too much publicity. I don’t know, but SAD SAD anyway we look at it.

I’m not a very political person and probably never will be. There are a lot of good people out there, but look at the way some of our political people talk to each other — does anyone see the non-professionalism that I see? Again, SAD SAD. I can see not agreeing with lots of things, and it would probably be a dull world if we all agreed on everything, but where did the act of being polite or acting in a so-called grown-up manner go? SAD SAD. I think professionalism is definitely gone from our leaders, our upcoming leaders in our local communities and our world leaders as they put down each other in a manner that is in a way of almost falling into hatred of each other. I’m sure they don’t, but it looks that way, so they can climb the political ladder, so to speak. So what do you think our young adults see? What I can say is it’s a SAD SAD place to be in at the present, I think.

We all see what’s going on in this SAD SAD world we live in daily, so for everyone out there, please take a step back in time and try to get back to what we once were like; being helpful, professional, not as violent and, maybe, get along a little better so we can rid some of this SAD SAD state of mind/world I think we live in.
