We shouldn’t do away with fluoride
To the editor:
It’s so painful to hear that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is directing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to stop recommending fluoride in drinking water.
I’m old enough to remember what it was like visiting the dentist before there was such a thing as fluoride treatments. I’d have several cavities, filled without painkillers, every time. I dreaded those visits!
I think about all those kids who will have to suffer the same fate.
