Local businesses helped fundraise for veterans park

To the editor:

The St. Armand Veterans Memorial Park Task Force hosted a Chinese auction at the Bloomingdale Block Party on Sept. 4, 2021. The Block Party was very successful and we were able to fundraise for the new Veterans Memorial to be installed in Veterans Memorial Park, 1688 state Route 3, Bloomingdale.

We wanted to thank all of the donors and participants who helped us make the Chinese auction booth possible: Top’s Market, Scott’s Florist, Adirondack Daily Enterprise, Moody Tree Farm, Rice Furniture, Running’s of Malone, Lake Placid News, Niederbuhl Brothers Tree Service, Stewart’s Shops, Maplefield’s of Ray Brook, Woods and Waters, Tractor Supply Ray Brook, High Peaks Distributing, Hyde Fuel, Sturdy Supply, Lakeview Deli, Kinney Drugs Saranac Lake, High Peaks Ford, Adirondack Lake and Trail Outfitters, Lowe’s Plattsburgh, Advanced Auto, Evergreen Auto Center, Curtis Lumber Ray Brook, Belvedere Restaurant, the Shamrock, High Falls Gorge, Robert Mathers, Michelle Simmons Janie’s for Hair, Bordeau Auto Body, Mary Eravi, Goody Goody’s, Aubuchon Hardware Saranac Lake, Cheri Fisher, Barry Lobdell, Mark Kurtz Photography, Jacky Fields, Adirondack Wine & Liquor, Ampersound, Hex and Hop, Bitters and Bones, Texas Road House Plattsburgh, Downhill Grill, Riverside Pet Supplies, Wicked Signs and Graphics, Pat Brown, John Wheeler, Saranac Waterfront Lodge, Lisa McGill, St. Regis Canoe Outfitters.

We also wanted to give a very special thank you to Coakley Home and Hardware. Coakley donated a $599.99 Weber Spirit II grill for a large raffle item. Coakley also hosted our task force at the Saranac Lake location for hot dog sales and raffle ticket sales. Coakley provided all of the food and drinks free of charge. We are truly grateful for the support of Coakley Home and Hardware.

We are hosting a “Buy a Brick” fundraiser to build the new veterans memorial. Everyone is welcome to purchase a brick to be installed in the patios and walkways. These engraved memorial bricks will be a lasting family memento for future generations. Please contact us at STAVMPTF@gmail.com for more information.

We are so truly grateful for your support! Best regards,
