‘Happy’ holidays to you

To the editor:

On Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020 (of course it was 2020), I parked my very new car on Broadway in front of Main Street Exchange. While I was in the shop, someone backed into my front bumper, making a hole in it (possibly by way of a tow hitch, judging from the damage), and then just drove away. No note was left behind, no attempt to contact me was made, no police report was filed. With barely 400 miles on my car at the time of the incident, I am now presented with almost $1,000 in repairs, a portion of which comes out of my pocket (as in the deductible). So, to the person who did this: my car and I wish you happy holidays. Like 2020, please try to do better in 2021.
