Please consider joining VFW Auxiliary
To the editor:
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary started with a small group of women who wanted to serve veterans. The VFW Auxiliary organization has grown exponentially and now includes both males and females as members. Membership is the lifeblood of our organization. Have you ever stopped to ask yourself, “What does membership mean to the VFW Auxiliary?” There are two very important ideas to remember. Without membership, the VFW Auxiliary would not exist. Without the VFW Auxiliary, veterans and their families would not receive all the wonderful services and support we provide for them. Without members, our programs would not exist. There is only one way to add members, and that is to ask someone to join.
If you are interested in joining the VFW Auxiliary, you must be a citizen of the United States or a United States national, and at least 16 years old. The eligibility requirements are as follows: husband-wife (yes, men are welcome to join us!), widow-widower, father-mother, grandfather-grandmother, son-daughter-grandson-granddaughter, brother-sister of a veteran. For a more detailed list of what is required to join the VFW Auxiliary, go to http://vfwauxiliary.org/join-us/elgibility-information.
