To the editor:

Hello, my name’s Trevor Swinyer. I grew up in Vermontville and have been meaning to share a project I recently worked on with the community. I went to the Saranac Lake Middle School and High School growing up, and later graduated from North Country Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in computer graphics. After graduating at NCCC, I moved on to SUNY Canton, where I got my Bachelor of Science in graphic and multimedia design. Now I’m 24, and I’m trying to get involved with some more meaningful and larger projects. Due to my love for SL, I started this project themed around it. I worked on this project throughout my senior year at SUNY Canton.

The project:

I decided to create some logos for a few of the businesses around, chosen at random. The main reason for this was to practice my graphic design skills and see what I was capable of on a professional level. The businesses I chose to create these logos for were Blue Line Brewery, BluSeed Studios, Blue Moon Cafe, Casier Furniture and Mountain Mist Ice Cream. I’d very much like to see what the community thinks about these. Although they were originally for a senior project, I’m quite proud of the outcome and would love feedback or discussion. I would also like to note that none of the business owners has contacted me regarding the use of these logos, but I wouldn’t at all mind setting something up.
