Many thanks for Olympic 40th celebration
To the editor:
We would like to acknowledge the hard work and success of the 40th anniversary of the Lake Placid Olympics committee and all of the businesses, organizations and individuals that made this possible. Not only did this event highlight the 40th anniversary of the 1980 Olympic Winter Games to our local and regional communities; it also highlighted this historic event on national and international levels, resulting in a tremendous amount of media attention and a truly unique experience for our visitors during this time period. As in all successful events in Lake Placid, it takes a commitment from a variety of businesses, organizations and individuals. The result of all of this hard work was apparent throughout the 10-day event and reaffirms our commitment and connections to the Olympic movement.
