An excellent customer service program

To the editor:

As a longtime member of the Saranac Lake Chamber of Commerce, we recently took advantage of a program being offered. Patrick Murphy, director of the chamber, reached out to us to see if we would be interested in a presentation focusing on customer service skills. Since the program was free of charge, thanks to a grant provided by North Country Community College, why not? Businesses are always looking for ways to improve themselves without spending money.

We were very impressed with Patrick’s in-depth knowledge of customer service techniques, and the results were very positive. Our staff was encouraged to think about the business as a whole and not just about their own departments. We were provided with wonderful tools on how to improve our interactions with customers and how to focus on our mission statement.

We would like to thank Patrick Murphy, the Saranac Lake Chamber of Commerce and North Country Community College for making this program available to member businesses. The chamber is a great resource, and we strongly recommend membership to anyone who would like to stay connected and relevant in today’s business world.
