To the editor:

Realizing we have important elections looming in the near future, I would like to share my personal thoughts on one in particular, namely Mr. Jay Rand.

Jay and I worked together for the village many moons ago. Being Jay’s supervisor at the time introduced me to an outstanding young man. I saw him as intelligent, soft-spoken, caring, focus oriented on the job at hand, honest, good sense of humor — in other words, the kind of man you are glad to have with you on the job. Though those many moons have passed, I believe Jay to be the same man today, albeit, like me, many moons older!

Every election is important, and this one is no less. I encourage everyone to weigh all the benefits of each and every candidate and vote for who you feel will best do the job for our community.
