To the editor:

Cliff Donaldson was born right here in Saranac Lake and grew up in Lake Clear.

After going to college in Arkansas, he returned here to the Adirondacks, where he has lived and worked, and where he and his wife Joan raised their son. Cliff has deep roots in our area, and he has a deep respect for the residents who live here. On Election Day I will be casting my vote for Cliff. His commitment has been livelong service to our community. Among his public experiences include the Board of Directors for the state Olympic Regional Development Authority, Department of Corrections, New York Labor Department, deputy mayor of Saranac Lake and, of course, Franklin County legislature, a position he is running for again. In these challenging times it is important to elect candidates with broad experiences to ensure the best possible representation in government. Cliff Donaldson has the background and experience to serve us with distinction and dignity. He will represent the towns of Harrietstown and Franklin in Malone with the best possible effort. I urge all to get out and vote on Election Day. Every vote counts!
