To the editor:

What is going on at Mount Morris in Tupper Lake? I have been going there for many years for my birthday. My dad worked there, and my brother died there at 6 years old. He got lost in 1944.

I treasure the mountain so much. They told me I can’t go last year because it was torn apart. I tried this year, and they said again I couldn’t go.

My Birthday is Oct. 3, and me and some of my friends would like a little picnic there. I will be 83 on Oct. 3. It may be my last time. Too much fighting going on. Leave the mountain alone. Why don’t you give the mountain to the ski center? Some of my friends said they couldn’t hike there anymore. What is the world coming to? Let’s save the mountain.
