To the editor:

I am going to vote for Lindy Ellis for legislator, and I ask you to join me. Let’s vote for Lindy and continue her service as Franklin County legislator. I believe in people who make a difference in our community. Lindy makes that difference.

Lindy has worked hard for our town and works hard for all of us. She helped build the SkatePark for our kids. When I ask for her help, she volunteers to help, and she gets things done. I like the way she quickly understands problems. She helped organize an opioid forum with Franklin County and Essex County experts. She got the North Country Community College board to come talk to the Franklin County legislature, building communications.

Lindy is experienced at the Franklin County level. She is a board member of the Franklin County Industrial Development Agency and the Franklin County Traffic Safety Board. She has a proven record of working with other leaders. She knows how to talk with and influence other leaders.

She represents all of us. She works to help our kids and families. Lindy and I have worked together on the Parks and Trails Advisory Board. Together, we’ve held public meetings at all 11 parks, identified what people wanted for improvements and created park concepts. We’re now implementing park improvements.

Lindy is a leader; she has grit and perseverance. She has run her own business for 27 years and has 40 years of experience with Corning Incorporated as a leader of a large organization. She has helped create jobs and save jobs.

And Lindy has a deep connection in our community, for the people she meets and goes out of her way to help. She is positive, and she is the leader I am voting for. Join me in electing Lindy Ellis for Franklin County legislator.
